May 22, 2015, Day 6

What a wonderful start to the day I had. My hubby and I curled up in bed, after the kids had left, and we watched ‘Fargo’. A bath and a lunch later I find myself thinking about Day 6 on my weight-loss journey. It occurred to me that there are 6 people in my life who make this journey a happy one and far less arduous. Those 6 people are my hubby, my son, my daughter, my best friend, her hubby and yes, myself.

For better or for worse, we are all there for one another with advice, sometimes with a harsh truth that need to be told, other times with a shoulders to lean on, or as the one to administer the Heimlich Manoeuvre, when that bitter pill one of us had to swallow, went down the wrong way, AND ALSO to share the good times when all is well. Weight-loss, breaking bad old habits, and establishing good new ones is hard work. Being able to share it is a huge blessing.

Breakfast: none

Lunch: Porridge, 1 Banana

Dinner: Un-fried Rice & Vegetables

Supper: Porridge, 1 Apple

Drinks:  3 cups of Coffee & Soy Milk, 750 ml Water.
