# 8 Teemu Ilmari Selänne aka “The Finnish Flash”

May 24, 2015 , Day 8                             Week 1 :  – 3  3/4 lbs

So, day 8 today, and above is the result of my first weeks efforts. The Title Crazyness is to placate the geekiness of my hubby… huge ice-hockey fan. (big happy sigh) Anything to make him happy. FYI…. 72 goals as a rookie… more than Gretzky. Just saying.

Anyhow, back to day 8. I was looking for something with the number 8 and I decided on this… ‘8 is the number of building, and in some theories, also the number of destruction.’ Immediately it made me think of building new ways of thinking about food, new ways of cooking it, nurturing new food related habits. Going hand in hand with that is the destruction  or deconstruction of those old thought patterns and habits. Food, for me, is also an emotional habit, one that has lead me down the path of Anorexia, Bulimia and down the path of downright bat-shit craziness. So this ‘Building and Destruction’ theme is a very personal and taxing one for me. Here is a bit of help!

Breakfast: none

Lunch: Porridge

Dinner: Steamed Potato, Carrot and Cabbage, Home-made Okara & Chickpea Burgers, Home-made Gravy, 1 Apple

Supper: 1 Apple

Drinks:  3 cups of Coffee & Soy Milk, 750 ml Water, 2 Whiskeys & Ice
