Today is going to be about time; time to think, time to consider, time to make positive decisions.
Most of us live our lives torn between places to be, people to see, things to be done. Where does that leave us? Compromising our relationships and our health and possibly that of our family. Our diet is just one factor among many but a crucial one. We need to slow down and take back control.
When it comes to practicing that control concerning what I eat, I have taken up the old counting to 10 routine, even if I have to repeat it several times in a row. It gives me time to think, calm down and stand back from what could turn into a unhelpful or unhealthful action, something that I may regret; and we already have enough of those. Do I really want to eat that?, Am I really hungry? Count & Think!
So, I give myself all the time I need to get it right.
Dinner: Rice, Carrots, Peppers, Yellow Pea Dhal
Supper: 1 Banana, 2 slices Wholemeal Toast, Far-Free Home-made Cheese, Salad
Drinks: 3 cups of Coffee & Soy Milk, 750 ml Water
